Terms of use

These terms cover your use of Unfair, the Chrome extension and the service behind it. By installing or using Unfair you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use it.

What Unfair does

While you ask it to, Unfair listens to a Google Meet, Zoom or Teams call in your browser, transcribes it and shows AI-generated suggestions for what to say next, along with notes on how the call is going. What we collect and how we handle it is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

Your account

You sign in with a Google account. You're responsible for what happens under it. You must be at least 16, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.

Recording other people

Unfair hears and transcribes everyone on the call. Many places require telling people, or getting their consent, before a conversation is recorded or transcribed. Before you start listening, you must:

• tell the other participants that Unfair is running, and
• get any consent the law requires, where you are and where they are.

You're solely responsible for meeting these requirements, and for how you use transcripts afterwards.

Acceptable use

Don't use Unfair to:

• listen to calls you aren't a legitimate participant in, or record people covertly;
• deceive, harass, defraud or discriminate against anyone;
• break the law, or someone else's confidentiality or intellectual property rights;
• get around the one-call limit, sign-in, or other limits and protections, or overload or disrupt the service;
• access the service other than through the extension and this website, or resell it.

We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these rules.

AI suggestions

Suggestions, call notes and transcripts are generated automatically and can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or inappropriate. They aren't legal, financial, medical or professional advice. You decide what to say and do, and you're responsible for it. Check anything that matters before relying on it.

Your content

You keep whatever rights you have in your calls, briefs and transcripts. You give us permission to process them only as needed to run Unfair for you, as described in the privacy policy.

The service

Unfair is provided free of charge for now. We may change, limit or stop it, or add paid plans, at any time. We'll give notice of material changes where we reasonably can. The extension, its design and its code belong to us; these terms don't transfer any of them to you.

No warranty

Unfair is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost deals, profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of Unfair or its suggestions. Where liability can't be excluded, our total liability is limited to 100 US dollars. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used Unfair, including recording people without the notice or consent the law requires, you agree to cover the resulting losses and reasonable costs.

Ending use

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the extension and revoking its access to your Google account. Stored transcripts are then deleted on the normal 30-day schedule, or sooner if you ask.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and material changes will be posted here before they take effect. Continuing to use Unfair after that means you accept them.
